Chris Redfield is awful

Now let me explain something first, yes I agree he's an unkillable badass who can take on the world.

Now on to why he's just bad, you would NEVER want to hear that Chris is coming to save you. I've played every game with Chris in and I'm confident that everyone he has attempted to save has either died horribly or had to save themselves. The only exception is Rebecca in RE1 but I think Jills campaign is canon if I'm not mistaken so really he didn't even save Rebecca.

Maybe I'm wrong but this is all I can remember is that he sucks♥♥♥♥♥at saving people.

Even at the start of Vendetta he goes to save an agent and a child and they both end up dead lmfao D:

Neither Chris nor Jill scenarios from RE1 are full canon, the canon is a combination of both.

Chris saved Rebecca in RE1 and Vendetta, Claire in RECV, Jill in RE5, and the hostages in the Lanshiang building during his first RE6 chapter. It's not a lot for sure, but he can't do miracles if he's allways sent when things are already out of proportions and pretty much everyone is already infected or dead.

They can't both be canon, whichever one is playing the other ends up a hostage so 1 of them has to be canon. So what I picked up from that is that if he's accompanied by a partner who doesn't have a death aura then he can save people.

They can be both half-canon because Capcom long ago confirmed that elements from both scenarios shape the canon:

-Chris and Rebecca detoxified Richard.
-Jill almost became sandwich.
-Chris saved Rebecca from the Hunter.
-Wesker blackmailed Barry.
-Wesker was slashed by Tyrant (not shot by Barry).
-Rebecca survived.
-Barry survived.
-Mansion exploded.

Therefore the jail thing is just a gimmick since both Chris and Jill actually explored the Arklay facility separately and handled different stuff. The "real" scenario is just not available in the game, both Rebecca and Barry escaped but you can't see that in the game. The first RE game never established its own canon, later RE games and other material from Capcom did.

I agree , 99 % of people he save died. Only Jill and Rebecca survived. BUT HE SAVE WHOLE PLANET IN RE5 so that remove what i said earlier

I am glad that Capcom got rid of Roidfield and all of its fanbase from 5/6. The franchise is better off without the character and such people. At least Chris is acting like a normal human being now in RE7.

As for the character itself i don't give a crap anymore at this point. I've been playing this series since 1996 and as far as i care they could remove Chris, Leon, Claire, Ada, Jill and all of the superhero cast in this franchise. Capcom have nearly zero use for these dead characters anymore since they're going back to survival horror roots unless its a Remake, Remaster or one of those garbage CGI and live action films where everyone solves the problem with matrix kung-fu and missiles.

^ this. I just want the franchise to be Resident Evil again not a fan service orgy. RE7 succeeded on that.
