Mia: "Its really been 1 year?"
I've also read similar complaints in GTA forums.
Why do people buy games in genres that they find inherently unenjoyable? What, are they masochists? Hey, how do you torture a masochist? You tickle him, but have to stop before it starts to hurt.
RE2Re suffers from a similar pointless overdose of red sauce, but there, you can activate the censored cut-scenes on any version. After switching to those, I stopped using the original altogether, because the toned-down scenes fit the general tone and plot much better and also put it closer to the original. The game is still visceral, but not to the point of ridiculousness. It is meant to be a cheesy B-grade horror movie, but that does not mean it can only be an early Sam Raimi one and nothing else.
RE7 has a similar issue and to be frank, after seeing the censored version, I also wouldn't mind to play it without treading knee-deep in chopped-off limbs that are there only to be there.
