Locked cheats = no buy
So you add cheats to the game, but you lock them away till you have finished the game on the required difficulty mode. I don't get the logic behind that and it defies the purpose of cheats.

I was planning to buy it just for a runthrough and enjoying the atmosphere, but I don't want tedius low ammo gameplay and stuff. I looked if there are cheats for the game and yep there are.... but only if you have finished the game. Come on!

And before anyone comments with 'get good', that is not the point. I play many difficult games, but this game I just want for a casual runthrough and enjoy the artwork and scare moments without having to worry if I will find an other bullet or not.

So, I assume you never met a Resident Evil game in your entire life, since the series has been using this mechanic since 1996.

You're really, and I mean REALLY, overestimating the concept of "ammo scarcity" in the RE series. Yes, supplies are finite, but RE games, at least on Normal difficulty, give you more than enough weapons and ammo to pretty much start a war on your own by the late game. And since you just want to do a casual playthrough to enjoy the atmosphere and scares, Normal seems the perfect difficulty for that, so no need to bother with Madhouse. Ammo isn't really scarce except for a few RE games, and that's only if you play the highest difficulty.

You won't be stuck in this or any other RE game just because you can't find one bullet to finish off an enemy. You shouldn't ever run out of ammo unless your aiming is terrible, or you're wasting ammo on the few non-killable enemies the game has. If you take your time to explore and don't squander your ammo on everything, then you'll end up with a lot of spare supplies.

There are third-party cheats which will unlock infinite ammo / no reload ,
even if you haven't played the game before.
Basically it becomes an OP playthrough without any challenge.

I'm not going to provide the website tho. Probably too tedious for you to download and activate

I have played the original 1st or 2nd game back when it was released (the one with the mansion and the hallway with dogs crashing through the windows). Back then I didn't use cheats, but back then I also was a young dude. Now I am an old dude and (in this case) I just mainly want to play for the atmosphere and the artwork without the stress of finding 2 more bullets etc, to survive.

ammo is not to low and it feels so great when you collect the ammo to blast that zombie's (or moulded's) head

Then don't. Spare us the drama.

There's easily enough ammo to kill everything in the game, at least on normal difficulty.

What are you talking about? Who don't understand what's going on?

OP has stated that he won't buy the game because he just wants to play for the atmosphere, scares, etc. but don't want the stress of finding one or two more bullets to be able to finish it. (When literally every RE game can be finished with a sh¡tload of surpluss ammo on your item box, at least on standard difficulties)

We're trying to tell him that for players who don't want to experience such "stress" of having scarce ammo the game provides a Normal difficulty that gives enough ammo to comfortably murder everything. And IF that's still not enough, there's even an Easy mode with even more supplies to the point it's basically like playing SOMA in Safe mode. Ammo abundance in RE games allways depended on difficulty, so for anyone who wants to never have to worry about supplies, or just play for the story or the atmosphere, or just finish the game comfortably, Easier difficulties exist precisely for that purpose.

If you *really* want to cheat, just use cheat engine.
Marweinicus May 9, 2019 @ 11:50am
If you have to cheat while playing this game on easy, then I think you should quit gaming and find another hobby.

The reason you have limited ammo is simple. You are against zombies they do not have guns and move slowly making them so much easier to kill. I know some zombie games give you loads of ammo but then the game isn't fun its to easy its like your god. If you wanna ruin the experience for yourself go ahead it wont be fun. It will be short and stupid. cheating is never a recommended option in any games. As Marweinicus said try another hobby. Gaming is for everyone except cheaters.

Deal with it or play something else. It's really that simple!

Apologies for the necropost, but I had to respond since I felt this hadn't been adequately addressed and I love this game.

I can understand where the TC is coming from, I am also no longer young and more often than not have got better things to do than play super challenging games.

Like alot of people I started this game on easy mode to get some of the unlocks, and by the end of my first time through I had so much ammo and resources I didn't know what to do with it all. Unlimited saves as well. The game was easy enough that you can play it slow - make real progress and enjoy the atmosphere, but still have some challenge.

I now have all the unlocks except for the Infinite ammo - which I am planning to get by going through Madhouse difficulty. Yes you heard that right, I rarely ever go through games on their hardest difficulty for any reason, but this is different. I even speeded through the game in 2:23:06 to get more unlocks, even using tricks by Carcinogen and others, even more unheard of for me.

This game does alot right. Get it on sale for a super cheap price and refund it if it's not working out.

That's my $0.02...
