When the guy's using the keypad in 'Happy Birthday' the sounds the keypad makes are the same ones used in the menus in Resident Evil 2.

*Resident Evil 3.

Curiously the title with the craziest puzzles in the franchise. RE7 developers really did their homework ;)

I'm quite confident that the big plush crocodiles in the kid's rooms is a RE2 reference as well.

up in the attic in the main house there is a document that states trevor built the shadow puzzles. Trevor is the constructor of the spencer estate in Resident Evil 1 remake

The Albert 01r. It's also apparently a reference to sweet home, a movie about exploring a haunted mansion, instea of Blair Witch. There's also a shot of the Arklay Mountains, where the first game took place, hanging as a picture on a wall. In the beginning after being taken by Jack, looking at the books in the downstairs area next to the Dining area, are the names of other RE characters. You can even find a book referencing Raccoon city. Remember the ghosts that could be found in the Demo? Well they've been thinking about having ghosts being the main enemy since the first game, but thought zombies in the closed hallway environment would be better. The "ghosts" in the demo were aother no to sweet home. The molded are actually comprised of ifferent pictures taken of dead animals as their in game textures. But these are all just things I read about.
Also during the Lucas part where you have to enter the password the sound of the keys are from RE3 I know it's not sn egg but it was great, memories : 3

You're right. I had to go back and listen. I knew it was one of the two. :steamfacepalm:
Which one does everybomdy prefer? Easter Eggs or just Eggs? If we start the trend of just "Eggs" maybe our ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lot of grands children will consult the history e-books to see why the ♥♥♥♥ hidden secrets are called "Eggs."
Honestly now that I think about a question that I've never considered before, I don't think I've ever really used the phrase that much.
'Easter Eggs' is something I expect to find for a heading in a section of a game guide or on an IMDB page, but I can't recall uttering the words to my friends in real life; it's typically always something like 'references' 'tie-ins' 'cross-overs' 'call-backs' or 'nods', 'secrets', '4th wall breaking inclusions' or something being 'meta'. etc.

When I think of easter egg, I always think of something like that thing in Half-Life blue-shift or opposing force, where if you shoot this one thing a few times, a little toad thing comes out. It's small, easy to miss, completely pointless, and 100% adorable. That's what I call an easter egg. Anything else is just a reference.

Did your (0...0) face get cut off or something?
The keypad you use to enter the birthday cake puzzle has the same sounds as the RE2 inventory screen.
Considering how elaborate that demo secret hunt for the dirty coin was I'd be surprised if nothing like that is hidden in the final game somehow.

its RE3 people. Not RE2

The title that has the most brained puzzles in the franchise. That's why they put it on the birthday room's pad ;)
