This is only semi-correct. In the tape Alan asks her why she wasn't attacked by Eve, and Mia states that the reason is because of her imprinting protocol, however, towards the end (after she kills Alan) she attacks Mia thus showing the the imprinting protocol has either failed or was never functioning.
If it was fully functional, Eve would not have been able to attack her, which brings us back to the beginning.
My thoughts as well. Evie's treatments were likely required to mainting the "programming" as well, as it's stated that she will not only age rapidly, but go insane becoming a danger to "anyone".
