The health/reload speed upgrade are much better options
Btw, there are Magnum bullets in the toilet in the trailer.
Bosses doesnt have an traditional hp pool. If you deal too much dmg wiht one shot it will be wasted. Look at third Jack battle for example.
Youd better just run around with shotgun and kill everything with 1-2 shots or crafting enchanced handgun ammo. It will neat better results,
Machine Gun well cause i had so much ammo for it
Good for killing 4 or 5 specialized creatures in a brief part of the game... throw it in an item box... forget it exists.
The Magnum is very very powerfull - normally afaik it's used after clearing on Madhouse to unlock unlimited Ammo so can play again obtain the 9 Coins and then take the Magnum wich is unlocked EASY the first time you leave the "Mansion" no matter if Madhouse or not.
So the first Part will use "low" Weapons but then you get the Magnum and can storm through the entire Game.
The magnum feels like it's one of the weakest in the series. Someties even two body shots doesn't kill a stronger version of molded. I don't remember it being this weak. It's also less accurate. If you are willing to use it. I'd say albert is better. with enchanted ammo it doesn't do that much less damage and it's actually accurate so you can kill things with the crosshairs without stopping to aim.
Also the Firerate is lower but 7Bullets per Magazine is better then 3 even with +Dmg Ammo.
I Like the fact it's not instakill for all Parts of the body wich still adds a amount of "difficulty" to the kills - but it's true - it's weaker then typical.
I think there are two spawns for magnum ammo that do not change regardless of difficulty. One is the treasure toilet and the other is a barrel laying on it's side in the salt mines (You have to crouch to see the ammo) But we're talking like...4-6 shots max here..not worth the hassle to be honest.
