Madhouse unlock without completing before?
Is there anyway to unlock Madhouse without completing the lower difficulties first?

I work 45 hrs a week and do not have time to play this game more than once, so I will be very displeased if I cannot get Madhouse form the start!

Madhouse was unlocked for pre-orders.

Only way to unlock it without pre-order is to complete easy or medium difficulty.

Yup I know this both. But I refuse to play it on lower difficulty just to unlock Madhouse, I don't got the time for that!

madhouse is completely different game. it's not just harder, it's different. you'll be rather displeased if you play madhouse first, trust me

Anyways got it working by purchasing the Survival Pack DLC key. Only costs me $2.00.

And, I do not care if it is a completely different game, I want the challenge. If it is going to make me wimp out, I will re-start with a lower difficulty. But I highly, highly doubt that will occur :)

↑ Good if you only play for the challenge. Though if you really want to 100% this game you'll have to play on Normal at least once.

If you play madhouse you might want to finish it on easy, normal, and complete it within 4 hours. You get very helpful things that make madhouse much easier.

I like this guy. I go into games at their hardest modes first as wel because I hate easy games, and I’ll appreciate a game more if it knows how to frustrate me.

That may be, Flybye, but the hardest difficulty in this game is a new game mode, not just tweaking some values. It rearranges the entire first half of the game. Going into Madhouse as a first playthrough is like asking to do the A2 mode in Nier: Automata on your first play.

Yeah I read about the differences this morning. Faster more aggressive baddies, the change in the save mechanic, etc. I think I decided to finish Normal, play a few other games, and then revisit 7 with Madhouse. 😊

This is the best way to approach Resident Evil's difficulty.

The older games have this too. Capcom go out of their way to make higher difficulties much, MUCH more than just 'hurr durr more enemies hit harder'.

So I always go Normal for the story and then Hard for the challenge, and it's a different experience.

Except for REmake 3, where Hard is actually the Normal difficulty
