Isn't RWBY a CGI Anime series?

I though it was animated using Smith Micro Software, and not MMD.

CGI means computer generated imagery, so MMD is CGI. also i'm pretty sure they use poser

I know for a fact that I've heard people call it "cell shade" animation or "cell shaded" animation before but never CGI. I know that they use a computer to do the animations but I also know that they have and use motion capture suits and technology. I'm unsure about the actual process they use, but I think the DVD's have special features that tell you how they did it.

who does not use computers to make anime now days... but yeah, it is a diffrent style (and that is what you mean).

Miyazaki actually vehemently refuses to. Nothing done under his name in his lifetime is allowed to use computers...hes really really hardline about it.

Hes all about that hand animated life time and money be damned.
