I'd expect some of y'all have already seen this, but here it is for those of you who haven't.

I find it interesting, and I most certainly agree with him in that it is (if it is true) a brilliant move from a writing standpoint. But at the same time, considering the writers did collaborate with the dev team on Grimm Eclipse, I am also a bit skeptical. Granted, a "battle cry" isn't exactly the kind of thing you would expect to be a semblance. Even so, I'm gonna treat this like the egg hunt and not assume anything until all the clues have been found.

Just saw that a few days ago. Interesting but dunno.

We see him seemingly bounce back that punch after all. And as you note while GE isn't the best at matching it at least somewhat ties to the chars

I would expect Jaune's to be some sort of buff similar to how he can buff in the game and maybe working similarly to Ren's in being able to affect people even at a distance.

I saw this video a while ago and I think that it's the most likely possibility for Jaune's semblance, it would be brilliant for the writers to have misled the fans for so long.

Before I learned that we had already seen his semblance, I was in favor of a "baptism by fire" theory, considering that the real life Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake (Possibly revealed during a fight with Cinder).

Well there is that theory that Jaune will also die. Along with Nora. And maybe Ren.

As for that Neo fight I don't recall that. Recall where in the fight that happens?

It's probably just Neo using her semblance though. She can make all sorts of weird stuff happen with her illusions.

Edit: ah, you may have misunderstood the theory about Jaune. It's not that he would be killed by Cinder. It's that he would discover his semblance in the middle of a blazing fire created by her and use it to turn the tides of the fight and triumph over her.

I'll rewatch sometime to check it out. I thought she just dodged doing some tai chi or aikido type move.

And no. Some think Jaune will die. After all Achilles died. So did Joan.
