It's been already said that it's not happening. Different outfits might come out later though.

I feel like they shouldn't add it to this one, but maybe in the next just have you as a student at Beacon who gets to explore and have fun.

I suppose they could make a whole new version of the game with a bigger RPG element to it, but i would much rather buy that one than the current.

I don't understand why people keep talking about creating your own character. You can do that in other games. Why do people come here, to a game that already has its own unique and great characters and say "i want my own oc!!"

No. It won't happen. This game is about team RWBY, not your OC.

I think the idea of making your own RWBY character is great but not for a video game. realistically speaking there would be a finite number of options because evey weapon, semblance, and dust option would need to be animated.

For proof of this look at the latest DBZ game where you make your own character (and eveyone sounds like nappa from the abridged)

What I think would be interesting is a RWBY pnp. with open ended rules they would be able to give you alot more freedom to make what you want.

The possibilities would indeed be finite, but that doesn't make it a bad concept for a video game. It makes it a bad concept for a hastly developed one and/or with a tight budget.

It's their first game, with a small team, they're gonna be limited, as much as i love the idea of my own character with semblence and weapon, i feel it would be too much to ask of them right now, as someone mentioned, maybe the next game will be able to have something like that.

The game is going to tell a side story about team RWBY between season 2 and 3 and they are already kind of stretching that by saying they are going to add JNPR. I'll honestly be supprised if when they add JNPR they don't get their own mini story to play them on. They could possibly try to do something like that in a future game with a more open story but for this one it doesn't really fit in well withought turning it into something different then what they want this one to be.

I feel like Monty had a plan in mind for what he wanted in a game when he contacted Jordan and custom characters more then likely don't fit in his story very well which is probably why they said that wasn't going to be a thing in this game.
