The newest episodes are kind of disappointing in the fighting department, they feel really rushed and silly, but hopefully they will sort that out.
That's probably just Rooster Teeth still adjusting to not having Monty around for the fight animation and choreography. When he died, I think we were all expecting a drop in fight quality but it's been a much shorter drop than some expected.

It really depends on what your interest are, regarding shows anyway. If you like shows that are action-packed and rock that one song at just the right moment, then RWBY's got it covered. If you like a more slow-paced psuedo-slice-of-life story oriented show, then RWBY's Off Time (The time in between action sequences) has somewhat of that going on. It's mostly action: high-octane, adrenaline pumping, full throttle, ACTION! (Not entirely)

Jeff and Casey Williams have the Soundtrack well off. Its one of those soundtracks, in my mind, that you never forget. I'm not into rock-ish music that much, but they pulled me into whatever they conjure up in the soundbooth.

Like Meelis13 was saying, the humor is good and rolls with the punches.

Volume 1 is just setting the characters, places, and relationships. It does have pretty good action sequences, but it sorta has a slow upstart. Volume 2 has more exposition and plot but it certainly does pick up, the action sequences do improve in qualty as well. And it introduces just a few new characters.

All I have to say about Volume 3 so far is, Qrow is a delightful drunk.

Therefore, I would highy recommend this show.

The series is better than the game. That's about all there is to say. And it's as hilarious as it could be. Better than watching funny cats videos ;)

Do you ever get used to the art style?

Volume 1 and 2's animation is pretty good, some mistakes though, but the story makes up for it. So far in volume 3 (only 5 episodes have come out so far) it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing, animation is much better, fight scenes aplenty, I've enjoyed the hell out of the entire series, but vol 3 takes the cake. 9/10 overall, very creative and plenty of familiar voices from all over Rooster Teeth. If you're an anime lover like I am, it's a must watch.

This game made me go and find what all the fuss was about the anime. Glad I looked into it, it's fun, has lovable characters and great music. Story-wise I still don't know where it's taking me and I'm in Volume 3 now. But I probably look forward to it more than any other anime show every week now... it's also a western anime, so it definately has a different 'feel' to it than your average japanese anime. Guess I'm saying I can relate/understand to it more because of cultural familiarity because of that. :D

World is very interesting, characters are extremely enjoyable, action scenes are fantastically well choreographed, humor is good, soundtrack is god-tier

Story is meh (but improving), animation quality varies - despite what most will say, usually it's just going too fast to see flaws during fight scenes rather than the fights actually being exceptionally well animated - but is generally somewhere between "acceptable" and "pretty good," occasionally dipping lower or peaking higher. Like with the story, it has been improving with time, and there have been far fewer little hiccups and glitches so far in Vol III than there were in previous seasons. Voice acting was unimpressive to start with, but as the cast got more familiar with their roles and/or voice acting in general, it improved a lot. By Volume II it was much less distracting. Volume III is much better and they've sarted to pull some HUGE names for secondary characters (such as Yuri Lowenthal and Vic Mignogna).

Overall 7-7.5/10, very enjoyable and pleasant to watch even if it's far from what I'd call "great."

This isn't an anime... It's a Western Cartoon, completely English Voice Acted. I think they dubbed it into Japanese, but I'm not sure. Just don't go into it expecting an Anime. Avatar: The Last Airbender/The Legend of Korra was more anime-esque than RWBY.

Its on kissanime so i might be dubbed in japanese. Avatar TLAB was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY to good to be cartoon...
RWBY is also on Crunchyroll. Some people could call it an anime because RWBY has some features of anime. I watch it and I think it is good and interesting. I would reccomend watching it.

If it is on Kissanime and Crunchyroll, then it is most likely classed as an anime, which is what Monty Oum (Creator of RWBY) probably wanted to make it as.

Wanting something to be something, and it actually being that thing are completely different.

By definition, Anime are Japanese animated products featuring hand-drawn or computer animation. RWBY is not a Japanese animated product featuring hand drawn or computer animation. RWBY is an American animated Web series.

By that definition, the vast majority of Anime are no longer Anime. Most of it is not animated in Japan.

RWBY is awesome, however it's kinda hard to explain and judge it.

RWBY is either a professional company with the lowest budget in the world, or the amature company in the world with the highest budget.

(a more correct placing would propertly be somewhere in the middle)

Having the key person behind the whole series not being there anymore seems to be the reason, that's true. As I said, hopefully they will git gud soon. They showed that they can still make a nice fighting scene with Qrow and Winter..

There are a lot of Korean animated series, but I do believe that the majority of anime are produced by Japanese Animation companies, making them anime. What are some examples you were thinking of?
