Fantastic.
In the foreground they present these bright happy people.
There are parts that are a little whimsical or silly.
In the background there are incredibly dark themes.
The team has done a great job in including detail in characters and their personalities whether or not they are in the spotlight or background.
If they have a problem, it's trying to balance the western and eastern artistic and story telling styles. It may be to Anime for some people, but not Anime enough for more some more die hard fans.
They rely on story telling tropes, most of the time it's to make fun of them, or break them. These doesn't always come across cleanly.
At the same time, nothing really happens in the show without a reason. Basically all story lines get connected or tied up nicely... if you pay attention.
As they've gotten further, they kind of figured out their direction. I recommend watching the trailers first, then you can watch all of season 1 and 2 without interruption as one long "movie" on Netflix. Made it easier to watch.
I watch all my anime on kissanime but thanks allot for the advice
It's however anime-style.
It's definitely worth watching. At the end of season two, a plot seems to rise.
Fighting scenes are awesome, give it a try.
Its on kissanime so i might be dubbed in japanese. Avatar TLAB was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY to good to be cartoon...
Still, its important to note that there are several levels to story like Mr. Ilax mentioned. Front seems happy and bubbly, but there are some very dark themes troughout series.
Battle scenes are great, humor is good, overall very entertaining show. Oh and that soundtrack...
In case you want to watch it, i strongly reccommend watching all 4 trailers as well. When you catch up, then i reccommend heading to roosterteeth.com to watch new episodes, as newest episode screens there each saturday if you are a sponsor on site, 24 hours later for the rest (i.e people who cant or dont want to pay to watch it). And then it takes whole week until that episode is uploaded to youtube.
Since volume 2, there are also "World of Remnant" episodes after every 4 episodes, that explain how things are in RWBY universe (such as dust, grimm, hunters and such).
But come on, go watch it. It has girl with a sniper/scythe! and Yang! cmon, who doesnt like Yang :D
