Unfortunately I feel Rooster Teeth actually took some steps back in regards to the combat system. Sure there's a steeper learning curve in the Fan-Made but after I spent about 1-3 hours fighting, fighting a mere 5-8 Grimms is much more satisfying than swiping 10-20 at a time. That includes the fact the pre-alpha includes enemy lock that everyone is complaining about, where it's removed in the pre-release.
