IT Would be interesting and fun, but right now unlikely. The team was too small to realistically make it. Don’t think RWBY quite has the numbers and more so $$ to pay a big enough group to make it.
Something like that too would need much more detail, customization, etc to work too. This game ( Grimm eclipse) got a good amount of angst for many finding it not like the show enough or lacking customization. And this was a much more simple hack and slash. Would be even worse for an rpg
Thanks for your opinion.

Seek legal assistance, pronto. Ask for company defamation.
As for the idea itself; it is too much ambitious, asking for technology that it isn't there yet and in some cases, things that just can be expressed just with this:

I liked the idea of having different factions with the option to run a gang and dedicated servers though.
"Players are also buy new clothing, and weapon mods from vendors and shops using Lien which are earned from quests as rewards."
???
In general, the article gave me a Todd Howard vibe. Maybe polish what you have written rather than to add more?
I am not pointing to your fictional companies. I'm pointing out RTG and the claim that the game was produced. And also the two announcements on public events. This is out of the scope of a game proof of concept.
The criminal storyline reminds me of JJBA part 5, hehe...\
Oh my goodness the patch list jeezus you had a lot of fun making this didn't you?
Anyway, I dig all the details, just sucks that we probably won't see this come to fruition. Though if I am ever in a position to work with a team on this, I'd love to despite not even being in college yet.
And yeah, the patch list I wanted to include, just to address some issues and bugs as if it were a real game.
A game of this scale would probably need the specialties of bigger development studios, like Bioware, or some of those other studios that work on MMO games.
And that is why it is so unlikely. If going for a non RPG, its technically possible for a small group of people to make a fun and addicting game. But the amount of time it would take would be years, at least.
And no large or official company is going to publish a RWBY game for obvious legal reasons.
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Long running anime that's super weird but cool. Part 5 involves the protagonist trying to become a super good gangster. I reccomend the show or manga if you like swole guys beating up other swole guys but using their brains to do it. And 80s songs. Its a super crazy diverse show.
That's cool! I was wondering if some were in jokes, but I'm not too worried.
Oh yeah, for sure, but don't discount the power of dedicated indie devs and fanbases. I mean we got this rwby game because of a dedicated fan that made a prototype, and RT being a really cool company and letting the game be officially made. (Consider games like The Forest, Undertale, and Shovel Knight. Beloved as heck by many and from Indie Devs.) Also think of the player base they would have with how many fans make their own teams and characters. I'd play for the character creation and getting to play out my characters.
Anywho, the community support is there, but a budget and a professional team willing to work on it isn't, which is where this falls short.
