So... The Steam Backgrounds...
Will they be what the PS4 users have? Because every theme the PS4 users have should be made available for PC, and the rose theme looks cool and the Beowolf theme looks cool. Or are they going to be generic backgrounds that can be found on DeviantArt? Also, when exactly is "Soon" on their release??

Soon is anywhere from 1 week to 3 months.

True, true... Just like Horde Mode... When it said "Coming Soon" when it was added (Probably in the Forever Fall update), it wasn't added until October 13th, 2016. Though, give the devs a cookie if the Steam backgrounds and such happen to be released some time by the end of this month, and I'd be shocked if new playable characters were released or announced on the day of release of the Steam backgrounds and such...

Imagine if a second set of playable DLC characters or a set of new costumes or whatever was announced next month or something, and said that it's coming soon, and in the year 2075, they say that it's almost finished, and in the year 2117, they're just near finished, and in the year, 2153, they finally release it. This needs to be a meme...

They are new pieces. The PS4 themes will only be available on PS4.

As stated in the community post, "Soon" is when they get through approval.

Wait, PS4 themes too? Do I need to buy the game on PS4 to get said themes? Would the theme work on Vita?

I WOULD LOVE A RWBY THEME ON MY PS STUFF!!

I'm mainly a PC gamer. I don't pay much attention to console stuff.

The PS4 themes are "Dynamic" themes (meaning they are fully animated and have audio), whereas Steam profile backgrounds are static...so they are not the same. Also, you do not have to own the game on PS4 to buy the themes. Just search "RWBY" on the PlayStation Store and you'll find 10 different themes as well as bundles of the RWBY and JNPR themes.

They can be unanimated for use on PC. And also, I know the themes can still be purchased on the PS4 without the game. And you guys can make alot of money from awesome themes instead of themes that can just be found on Deviant Art for free, if that's what the upcoming themes will be, and the only PS system I have is a Vita (I hope the game comes to the Vita and the Switch).

The Ps4 has game based themes from the Devs so I would assume the ones for Steam will be made by them too.

Sadly the ps4 themes don't work on vita. Not sure about the game without a system to pair to. But then Vita you. Can set your own wallpaper...

I know I can set my own wallpaper on the Vita. I have the system.

Would love some sick ass backgrounds and some new content to if they ever get the time, best time would be right before vol 5 release and start showing adds again with a new campaign story

We need Team CFVY, Penny, and Team SSSN (Or Sun and Neptune) as new playable characters. There's not even enough playable characters in variety! I think that new playable characters should be focused on first as a way to tie people over. And canonality should be dropped so we can have a variety of playable characters.
