Counter Mastery
What does counter mastery do? It's the only skill have yet to unlock. I am just wondering if it's like worth getting to help with fighting Grimm and shiz.

It upgrades your counters, I haven't unlocked it for everyone but Pyrrha's counter now hits multiple grimm rather than one which is extremely helpful

I see. Well, what would be the best way to farm or grind for counters? I've already gotten Weiss' but that took over an hour or two.

Go to level 1, the area right before the Control Center. There is one Beowolf (I'm assuming you would do this in singleplayer). Kill it and then wait for four of them to spawn. And voila, you are on your way to counter mastery.

Additionally (again, assuming you are doing this in singleplayer), you can increase the difficulty to hard (which means x2 Grimm). So now there are two Beowolves you need to kill and then wait for eight of them to spawn.

For the counter, don't you just need to counter a lot to unlock it? All you need to do is go face a large group of Beowulf Grimm. They are so easy to counter as they nicely circle around you and take turns even in Eclipse mode. Second level right before (after first wave) or after the drawbridge are great spots for it.

But is it worth grinding to unlock? Depends on the character. Pyrrha I'd say is amazing since she counters multiple enemies. Weiss can be useful as it freezes who she counters. Yang I think stuns them for a longer duration. Can't recall what the others have off top of my head.

Like 300 times. At the start I've just been farming Grimm in second level. Specifically those Grimm which dig underground if you're far away or their attack missed.

Thank you both for the suggestions. Will take note. Now to farm for Pyrrha as it seems the most useful.

To note btw, if you are planning on getting Rank 25 and haven't yet then don't even bother getting the counter mastery unless its a requirement to level up. If you're ranking, you'll save a lot of time and grief if you only focus on what you need to do to get to the next Hunter Rank.

I feel like there will be grief regardless of what I do. Seeing how ranking in general seems like a pain.
