Hello, I want to configure values (losing how much loot when you die or changing loot values for crates, hunters and animals, changing how much resource you need to craft something) etc. I looked into the game files but only gamma change worked. So i want help about this. If it's not possible right now is it possible to add in future updates ?

This was removed back a few years. Subsistence can nolonger be modified / configured in save file or any other file in it's databse.

I've been talking to the developer about what you're asking for for years, and after so much time it finally seems like he's becoming aware of this, maybe we'll see more configurations for the game soon. If I get any information, I'll let you know.

Wrong but not for all, we can mod this game if you are a very good dev who know how to code backwards... Some do it with many game made with Unreal Engine who don't have no support mod... & so there's mods for Subsistence but it's illegal mods...

Why would you wanna go in and Mess. with somebody else's game that they made. If it's not your game. you're not the creator. You're not the owner. You should not be modifying it You know you could be sued for that by the creator.

It was never actually 'meant' to be modified or configured. It's just that the save files use to be in JSON format and with a little work you could figure out what all the JSON strings referred to and make modifications. At one time I was able to copy entire bases and duplicate them at another location or in another save. I even wrote a Python script that kept track of hunter bases, hunters and their locations, locations of deer and moose and such. I could even force a trigger of a hunter attack, or remove a scheduled hunter attack. Then he encrypted/encoded the saves. *shrugs*

I'd also add that suing someone requires identifying damages. Since modifying your own game save file, or making mods that you post on Nexus, already required you to buy the game. What damages could a dev claim the modification caused? In many cases mods to games actually encourage new sales.

Yeah, you can't get sued for modifying your save files. Doubt that would hold up in any court nor be worth the time spent by the dev to do so. And, as he's Canadian, unless you're in Canada that process would be even more cumbersome.

Many many games have mods made for them even though the dev never intended to support it. I recently made like eight mods for a game. No one gets sued for making mods to a game, or editing their own save files.

Yes, I know how to do but I don't mod it because need be a developer engineer with experience in reverse engineering & understanding code...
