Testing Garden Bed Grow times

The following are some results obtained after running tests on the grow times for garden beds; but they should be treated as a GUIDE ONLY. With my setup, may look neat and tidy but you should only set them out this way, if you are using all 3 growing aids, Water, Fertilizer and Growlight.

The following are all estimates except for number one. If you need Vegetables quickly, then you need all three, Water, Fertilizer and the Growlight. Otherwise, from #2 down are breakdowns and approximate times because of the variables that could come into play (Sun and Rain) (Tests were Carrots only)

(1) WATER, FERTILIZER AND GROWLIGHT (2 day’s CONSISTENTLY from planting time to harvesting time) You can put the Garden Beds anywhere, even under water. It is funny watching the watering of the plants under water. The water doesn’t disperse. Here is that Video clip for giggles. https://youtu.be/f4yloIHV3N8

(2) FERTILIZER AND GROWLIGHT (No water) (3 day’s)

(3) WATER AND GROWLIGHT (No Fertilizer) (3.5 day’s)

(4) WATER AND FERTILIZER (No Growlight) (4.0 to 4.5 day’s)

(5) FERTILIZER (No Water or Growlight) (4.5 to 5.5 day’s)

(6) WATER (No Fertilizer or Growlight) (5.5 to 6.0 day’s)

(7) NO FERTILIZER, NO GROWLIGHT, NO WATER (Apart from Rain, Sun and Positioning of the Beds) It can take between 8 and 10 days, even if there Is rain and sunshine.

With a Growlight, it is 100% lighting at all times even under water. Weird things happen without the Growlight, the light percentage can be all over the place and give several different readings, anywhere from 0% to 100% and everything in between. (As you will see in the Video) Position also plays a big part, if only using Sunlight. They need space all around each bed, to avoid that fluctuation in Light readings.

Potassium is by far the best, followed by Animal poop, then Ash. I personally avoid using Ash, because I save that for making Glue. I do get a lot from raiding the Hunter Base’s. However, I like to stock up because it’s a resource I have to use in repairing my Bow. (Slightly off topic)
