lava area loot boxes

does the lava are loot boxes still spawn circuit boards? i remember getting one in them ages ago but havent been down there in ages

Even though the wiki suggests the mining supply container is found in the underwater caves, I think they are actually only found in the lava caves. If so, these are the items you should be able to find in those crates (and circuit boards are one of them):

I don't see the Gasmask in that list, I've looted two from the Supply Containers in the lava cave as well as circuit boards.

Not saying it is correct as I firmly believe there is very little updated/recent work being done on the Subsistence wiki so I wouldn't be surprised if the wiki is outdated; but the same wiki suggests that the gas mask is found from the Deep Cave Miners, not in the mining supply containers.

I don't remember which Alpha update added the gas mask but I do remember the dev game notes for that update saying the gas mask was a rare find that could be found in the game world. It didn't say the mask could only be found in the lava cave - deep cave containers but that is where I found both of my gas masks. Later I'll try and find the developers notes for that update and link or copy/paste it here, I can't do that right now.

Okay I found it. This is what the Dev posted about the Gas Mask in Alpha 57.
Gas Mask:
The gas mask is not a craftable item, and is currently only used by the deep-cave hunters. *However* it is possible to find it in the world, although is extremely rare.

So is it possible that perhaps you found the gas mask off of a deep-cave-miner (I believe those are the ones only in the lava caves) and you might just be remembering incorrectly?

Reason being is if the dev notes say the gas mask is currently only used by the deep-cave hunters that would seem to suggest the gas mask is found off the body as well, not the mining supply container (with an allowance for the dev note of a deep-cave hunter = the wiki deep-cave-miner). Not a big deal either way, and it is mostly besides the point since others have confirmed circuit boards can be found in the mining supply container, but I'm kind of curious if I were to try to farm for one myself, should I focus on the miners or the mining supply container. Of course if you're not 100% sure either way then that would be good to know as well :)

EDIT: I also get that 'is currently only used by the deep-cave hunters' can just as easily be interpreted that the gas mask can be found "anywhere in the lava caves including in the mining supply containers".

been down alot of times now and so far only bullets and explosives, nothing like wow in them crates

I have two gas mask. I found both of them in the small wood containers in the lava/deep cave over the course of about two years. I don't remember if I looted my pilots helmet from one of the two crates at the crash site or from one of the pilots.
