I don't understand the reasoning; the game never forces you to do upgrades.
Here's an example of how much solar panels need to be buffed.
\One of my go-to tactics to get lots of ore is to build a small 4x4 hut in a region that has an ore I want lots of, place a BCU inside of it, and place a mining drill in the ground through the floor. This becomes a fully-autonomous mine that effectively keeps generating ore forever, but only once solar panels have been added.
How many solar panels, you ask? FIVE of them --- even after upgrading the BCU for power efficiency.
It's manageable, but feels like a time sink.
Reduce the cost for each upgrade or increase the output
Hello everyone,
I'm writing in Google Translate for this topic.
Despite 25 solar and 25 wind turbines (fully updated to level 2), the electricity doesn't always help with 2 refrigerators and 8 earth drills. I was able to store 10K of electricity until the total subsistence failure 2 days ago and still had hardly any electricity. Every device I build is always focused on more power savings first and every panel or wheel is improved on both improvements. Still, it doesn't help. I have written a German letter of improvement (translate it for yourself). These old improvements that were necessary are not coming either.
Unfortunately, Subsistence hasn't been working at all for 2 days.
I dont have that problem myself but still think that the solar and turbines should give you more power than they do, even when not upgraded... you need far to many solars/turbines to make a good amount of incoming power to your base to be some kind of "self sufficient"
myself never upgrade them but build additional one since its cheaper.. so with that being said I agree with the topic of this discussion. the power needs to be increased when upgrading them especially with the cost it requires to do so.
making no sense with a comment such as "learn how to play". cause the game needs more balance either way no matter what you say!
End of discussion!
