I just recently placed the beta test for this lvl update so a new game and fully understand your frustrations its not easy for a new game these days but if you know how the game works its not hard time consuming yes.
New players that yhave no idea really love the challenge.
You should understand by now CG will not be changing back to those old consol commands.
Using the = key opens what is the only thing availabe cmd to hide or show hud.
Are you programmed to be positive about this game no matter what is said?
Because you failed and I at least appreciate your honestly, regardless if how you tried to disguise it.
OP: The developer doesn't have time to care what you think. Wake up.
Silly "gamers". Maybe take a look at Jaunitta's builds before assuming how people are replying. It simply makes you look like a complete troll that people avoid. Looks like Jaunitta really enjoys Subsistence to me, and does well.
Don't like the game, don't play the game. When you signed up for an Early Access title you agreed to the terms. You're along for the Dev's ride. Whining, insults, and snark from kids today because the world isn't pandering to them is just so tiresome.
If you have that much time to complain, you should find something IRL to fill those holes in your life.
I can flourish on hardcore, does that make me a god? Jokes aside, it's ok to be struggling in the beginning. That makes it all the more worthwhile once you start to get out of the quicksand.
Tbob418 doesn't even own the game, he just hates it and its creator.
It's not normal. In fact, most of them leave EA in a few month with a broken mess. It's weird how some people view this as a bad thing. You've paid already for the product and now you complain that the developer is still working on it? If it may alleviate your pain, disable auto-updates within steam client and think as if it had already left EA. Easy :)
Yes, that all there is to it. Nothing I said (also ignoring praise) is important, correct or not, because I'm a hater. I'll let you try and deduce what that makes you on the other spectrum of this imaginary world of yours. I have a feeling, by the way you interpreter what people say, you might struggle, but why would it matter when I don't even own the game and I'm just a hater.
To make a more informed purchase decision I recommend people to read the disclaimer on the Steam store page:
"I am the sole developer of the project, which I work on in my spare time as a passion project. I feel this is an important disclaimer for those considering playing the game, so that players can make a more informed purchase decision."
The important thing is that you don't give up and keep adding more things so that I at least come back to the game from time to time.
It is true that I did not like update 63 very much because for me the entire aesthetic issue is secondary, I would have preferred new playable mechanics, but hey, let's see at the end of the year what it surprises us with.
In any case, for what it cost me, with the number of hours I've already spent with it, it has more than paid for itself, even though I won't upload any more content.
El problema Mojón, es que al comienzo también era un único desarrollador, sin plena dedicación y resulta que por entonces las actualizaciones eran mucho más frecuentes y traían mucho más contenido que ahora.
7 Days to Die took 10 years to get out of EA and that was with a full team behind it plus several publishers, a subpar console port, and yet it is still broken and missing core features.
Given that "final release" / rtm / etc is entirely a threshold defined by the developer - I'm confused.
You're arguing for the game to be in sustainment?
The concept of "1.0" is a legacy concept in this day and age. Back from when we had to have ZBR/RTM builds, print green discs, etc.
The "final" build mattered significantly because that was the threshold of what the game "is" - and had to get through cert, and then on to manufacturing. Bugfixes, improvements, etc were almost a non starter outside of expansion packs (and then later DLC) and often required a purchase to gain access to.
With Steam hitting the public as a distribution platform in 2005 that began to change. This allowed developers a drop in the overhead of shipping games, and allowed them (and the players) to enjoy extremely easy methods of updating the game (both in the form of content, and in the form of bug fixes).
Early Access (love it or hate it) allowed players to get access to the game during its development phases, and figuratively "see how the sausage is made" (something not possible outside of user research sessions, and public testing cattlecalls for those living near major publishers). Assuming said players are aware that they are buying *access* to the builds pushed to Steam, and a copy of the game once development has concluded.
Prior to the current digital distribution buffet that we benefit from today, once a title hit "1.0" and discs were printed and shipped to retailers most titles were put on "sustainment" - effectively meaning the development team would slowly be transitioned to other titles, and those who stayed (while they remained) might work on a TU (Title Update, typically primarily to address critical problems with the game), or an expansion pack/dlc - but that window often was fairly short. (As unless we are talking about an MMO with a monthly sub, keeping a titles team staffed after RTM is expensive, and has diminishing returns)
On its face, your issues with the Early Access label still being applied are arguing against your own interests. As long as Subsistence is still in Early Access (and barring behavior that Coldgames has not demonstrated) that means it is still the core focus of the developer, content, bugfixes, and new systems are still coming - and you as an Early Access consumer get that content without having to buy it.
This is the mind of a player who enjoys EA games and supports forever development.
*This game's development is ok, because another game's is terrible* is just wonderful logic. Probably ran out of argument for Subsistence so you gotta throw another bad development tale under the bus to make this one look better.
