hi all, cant find any ,is there a specific area where they grow?

South - Southeast of the Center Pond in the valley just below the foothills. September mostly, Strawberry's in August. Cotton is a sparsely growing plant.
You may also find cotton seeds in the green bags with a better chance of finding them in locked crates. You will get three pieces of cotton from every cotton seed that you grow and only one piece of cotton from the plant you find growing in the wild.

Cotton is rarely found on the ground as a plant and its only in Autumn !
Make a plant growing thingy ASAP and plant seeds , which are found in chests ( green ones or specialty container ones )

Good advice above. Cotton only appears before winter sets in. Don't rely on finding it, as it won't be nearly enough. You need to grow your own from the brown seeds you've been finding in spawned crates.

I am 35 days into a solo round starting in May., So far I haven't found any plants but have found lots of seeds to the point where I have over 70 cotton balls grown from seeds. Just make a planter box and grow........

i see ,im still in june so there are nt any :[. i get strawberries though..but no cream :]

You can change the month to any month you want.

Change your season month to Fall, place on 24 days , November to Dec end Jan
During fall, cotton can be found and picked
Winter end of Dec once snow is covered cotton easier to see.
Bandages use cloth made from hide of animals we kill.
No cotton required for many things where cloth is used.

But stay near a wood stove or change the month back to March.
