Where are the eagles nest
Trying to find the eagles nest I climb to the peaks of two mountains and searched all the high ground i even managed to shoot one of the chicken stealing Eagles. (I shot a chicken and a eagle flew down and stole it awesome bit of programming love it). The eagle I shot only had damaged feathers and normal.

Eagle nests are located on very high cliffs. When you see the eagle, you can observe in which direction it flies, then you know approximately where its nest is.

Follow him if and when you see him flying above, to get the direction of his nest.
One is West of East Lake. Head to the pond where the fence is then cross the river follow the fence > go to the mountain its a small stick with a nest you will need climbing gear.

And one is west of the top West lake, same thing head straight west to the mountain.
The nests tend spwn in different areas but not far from the first.
West lake , ned climbing hooks and heat packs.

there is no fixed location of eagles nests, they spawn randomly within certain regions...

it's not all the way up into the highest mountains they are about halfway up, it'll be sticking out from a very steep wall and it's not a wall you can climb without the climbing axes.

keep an eye out as you walk around the bases of those walls, just keep looking up-ish and eventually you'll see one.

when you get into the nest grab the feathers and GTFO asap. if the eagle is anywhere near the area it'll begin attacking you, your best bet is to just run as far from the nest as you can. the eagle doesn't give you anything good when you kill it, just broken feathers for you to look at and a very small amount of meat... also you're then an eagle killer and nobody likes an eagle killer.

lol.

fair warning: it might be a good idea to have bandages and some heal patches, the eagle can really get you good if you let it.

good luck.

something i figured out today that i should have figured out a long time ago...

once you have enough feathers to build the first hang glider, anytime you go snag feathers, bring the glider...

the fastest way to escape the eagle who is pissed off about you stealing it's feathers... is the glider made from the feathers you already stole.

jump onto the nest, switch to hang glider, snag feathers, jump off and glide to safety.

the bird never touches you.

I bet you wrote the ordering wrong. As soon as you switch to something else other than climbing gear you're detached from the rock.

negative... i mean actually jump onto the nest which disengages the climbing axes

climb up alongside the nest, get above it, "climb" sideways on the wall and you'll automatically hop onto the nest holding your axes like weapons (if you did it right).
