the fridge is the spot where you can start to relax, the game gets a lot easier when you aren't spending all day every day worried about not starving to death... but you're going to need power and mass storage and generation in order to get that.
you also need a refinery to refine the ore you find, and possibly some drills to pull ore from the ground...
good luck.
ya u cant get a workbench and fridge without a jenny and recycle/ mass gen first lol
Yes the upgrades on hen house are definitely a MUST HAVE.
It might be wrong, it's just what i remember xD I'm on day 172 so the start was a long time ago.
Just remember building the wood burner first (well after fire, fishing rod etc.), then getting a workbench up and running. The fridge was what I focused on next. But I could be wrong as it was all around the same time as the generator / refinery / mass recycler.
I continued on with building planters to produce tomatoes to be able to keep chickens. After building a chicken coop I invested into a stove. That was to make tomato soup for my birds. However, soon I realised steak and eggs is their preferred diet lol
Once I had set up I then went for drills and solar panels. Drills were not my main focus once I had one or two as I had quite a bit of ore from manual mining. Soon that was running low because of all the lock picks I was making. So I switched my focus from building solar panels to making a few more drills.
However, I can't say I spent even 25% of the time I've spent on making damn solar panels on any other builds. It's such a grind. It's like spend one day getting pearls, make as many circuit boards as I can. Run out of electronic scrap so spend about a week doing collection loops. Then repeat collecting pearls ...etc. Such a mission for that 0.08 power trickle. 11
As this game doesn't really have an end goal, my self made goal is to run everything in my base off solar power. Currently I'm relying on 6 generators running 24 / 7, supplemented by about 30 to 40 solar panels. So it's gonna be a long time before I get off relying on generators.
Oooh, haha I must have miss remembered. Lol. It was a long time ago, those first two weeks of in game time are a bit of a blur to be honest. It seems my mind's harddrive has overwritten my memories and replaced them with endless solar panel grinding. Oops.
