console commands as cheats?

Yes there are, you can unlock guns and other items.

Every single thing in the game respawns infinitely....

Instead of defeating the purpose of playing an alpha game, which is to test features, not ♥♥♥♥ around with cheats, why not just go out and collect the infinite resources your self?

Or are the animals really just to much for you...

hahah lol I bought this game for playing building base only not for survival adventure...its just repetetive and boring,, I just wanted to build houses thats it

To each his own I guess. So long as you realize that base building is only part of the game, thus you are only playing part of it, and not getting the full experience.

Even if you use console commands like god or fly or whatever you can still test out the game like the AI and Animals you can do whatever you want as well as play legit.

Still does not change the fact that using the console in that fashion is cheating.

I mean, the OP even asked if there were cheat type commands.

Like I said, to each his own. Using cheat commands defeats the purpose of playing a survival game though.....

i only early access, survival,open,crafting basebuilding game I have put more than 100 hrs is the forest,..

and that 100 hrs was made of base building rather than exploring lol..didnt use cheat in that game

Cool. Though the menu command for The Forest are not cheats, they are game mode options added by the devs for the players, to make the game easier or harder.

Again though, to each his own. play it however you want, even though using the console to give yourself stuff kinda defeats the purpose of the game.

I hate that whenever someone asks for console commands, the response is always something along the lines of cheating or not being man-enough to play "legit". So what if people want to play an EA with console commands? For some it may take away fun and for some it may add it. It's the same $hit every time.

you have to open the map that allows cheats, "open UDKFrontEndMap"
