Fast Swimming?
Pressing shift no longer enables faster swimming (similar to sprinting). Did this option go away? Was it never an option, and my memory is at fault (I'm just getting back into the game for latest update)? Or maybe a bug?

You could use your stam in the past but you would not swim faster (meaning you just wasted your stam) so the dev removed the ability to hold shift when swimming

I hope a swimming sprint is implemented in the near future because it isn't fair that bears and wolves seem to swim at the same speed as on land but you can't. This is more annoying to me than animals climbing up, more like "glitching" up a vertical rock like it was nothing, but at least you have the ability to sprint away from that situation. Is it really that hard to add a swimming sprint code to the game?

Don't put your self in a situation where your being chased by bear, wolf, or moose in to the water.

Nothing is fair in games, adapt and over come is my advice.

You don't say. Clearly you're missing the point.

Thanks. Hopefully this is implemented in a future update. Maybe with flippers

But for the "immersion quality", being able to get a short swimming sprint would be nice. Or the predator could "lose" you while you swam under water. That would give you a short time to get away. Can you be under water when it freezes?

I agree that a faster swimming speed using flippers would add a lot. I've recently been under water a lot mining sandstone for glass and the snail pace of it gets annoying after awhile. I wouldn't mind if it used up more stamina, similar to running, as long as it didn't feel like slow-mo all the time. Don't mind it in ponds cause you're there so briefly but lakes could really use either flippers or some kind of sprint-swim mode.

Regarding the question: "Can you be under water when it freezes?" I've not actually done it, but I presume you die. Do the lakes freeze entirely or is it just the top 6 feet or so? If one were in the cave when winter came, would the exit pool be frozen too? I'd like to know, but I don't want to spend an entire winter in the cave just to find out.
