Best way to hunt deer

Having trouble with the bow. Any tips?

Personally I use the rifle, take high ground and approch in a crouch. I wait for the deer to be standing still with it's head upright then aim for the head. When its head is down it seems like the head hit box is not aligned with the graphic of the head.

Same as Zuleica....I’ve tried with the regular hour and always damage but not head kill. Have tried the premium arrow with some effect but the best is the non upgraded rifle to the head...one shot...dead.

Cool. I haven't put up the base module yet. Been taking my time with early game. Playing co-op, so i am loving the raw survival feel so far

Just take the premium arrow..

How do you make a premium arrow? Is that an option after putting up the base module thing?

You have to make a coop and upgrade to free range (for best results) and put a chicken in it with food an water. Once lvl 10 kill and butcher it to get premium feathers and use the work bench to make the arrow. This all takes the BCU to make ;-)

Just sneak up and grab it's tail. Oohh.. Wait. That's for bears. :>)

Okay okay. If I remember corectly it took three normal arrows to kill a dear. Just hit'em broad side and chase'em. They don't run all that far. You have to have your wits about you incase you need to deal with a critter but it does add a little excitement.

P.S. Don't pull the bear's tail. Yogi doesn't sit well with it! Now, chickens...

Sneak up and pop a head shot while its eating. Chase after him, sneak up again and a body shot to finish it off. 2 regular arrows, I do it alot.
