Yes you are correct, the one chair that I had the problem with does have a low ceiling above it. Others that I tried had higher ceilings. Definitely needs to be corrected.
The problem with getting stuck in the chair appears to be happening when you collide with a low ceiling. Thanks to SweetHart60 for finding this out.
GE built a couch on his stream and placed it out in the open on a dock so that wouldn't have tested it.
Speaking of that though if you're going to actually test something shouldn't you be prepared to do so? They were definitely NOT prepared for anything in that stream.
Really? As clean as the updates are for this game you are going to say something like that? Do you expect an update with 0 problems? The issues that come with updates for this game have been minimal and very minor issues.
Did you read my first statement?
No I don't expect zero issues... but a simple mechanic, like sitting down and standing up from an item as a feature of a huge remarkable update, that was overlooked shows me that there can't be many testing protocols in place.. thus my "happen" to come across comment. Yes that is a pretty bold statement and I hope the ones involved don't miss something that rudimentary in the future. Thus slowing down developement by working on fixes rather than content.
Less you for get this is still E.A and we are the testers... ;)
At one time I used to believe that as I am sure others have to... its actually the reason I bought the game. I had a lot of time on my hands and thought I would get into it again, contribute and be a part of the community.
Frankly I have mixed feelings about EA games...actually I am leaning toward starting an EA contstruction company and will build everyone a house for a 5k contribution... who all is in?
Simply not true. Compared to other e.a. games this one is almost without bugs.
I'm sorry I don't understand your comment.
What is simply not true? The point I made that I can understand how some things can be missed when updates occur? Or its not true that things with simple mechanics not working properly doesn't make me wonder if things are tested properly?
I made no comment about the amount of bugs in the game nor have I compared it to other e.a games out there. I don't care if it is an e.a game or not... that should not be an excuse for a developer or development team not to do their due diligence in preparing a product. I agree a game like 7 days to die that has been in alpha for going on 7 years now is worse off than this game(actually what they started to put out for alpha 17 was a train wreck)... e.a should not be a crutch or excuse to build off of a myriad of issues that just lead to more issues or very simple items that could be taken care of in seconds or minutes.
Look I know I am overly harsh but feel I need to be to shock people into neutrality here. I really liked this game at one time and would really like to see it go someplace... but the communtiy is starting to resemble a board of directors telling each other how great things are and patting each other on the back while the stock tanks. I dont want the stock to come close to tanking. Continually we hear before an update that it is in its final stages of testing... my point is that how did that simple mechanic of a height collision(which you would expect to look for in that mechanic) get missed if there was any sort of structured testing in place? Again thus my "happen to come across" remark.
I want people to have something to be excited about regarding this game.. not the ones who already own it but the ones that have been holding off purchasing it or are about to delete it off their watch list. I want so many people to be interested in this game and buy it that its like an avalanche coming down a mountain side. I would like to see CG properly rewarded for his efforts so his family can benefit... and the way its going its possible that may not happen.
That is probably the main reason I am overcritical and believe that constructive criticism will do more for someone that is openminded than the alternative. Some may agree and am willing to bet most will not.
