Which is the beat weapon to upgrade?

I have all the guns but i have enough materials to just upgrade one , Dose anyone know which give you the most bang for your buck? i Was consideing the 44 or the rifle . To be used to attack and defend against the hunters.

For predator defense, especially on hardcore, I recommend the shotgun.

Hunters aren't as much of an issue IMO. The reason is that you can, with some situational awareness, avoid the hunters. The predators spawn across the map and you have a harder time avoiding engagement...and they are a food source.

Comes down to personal choice really, Dispite having the most expensive ammo,
I'm with Zuleica on this one. My personal favorate is the shotgun, followed by the rifle.
The 9mm Auto is realistic insofar as a 9mm auto pistol is next to useless in an actual
survival situation.

For the shotgun, i read 2 differents infos, without upgrade is it 120 or 140 damage?

technically its 20 6dmg pellets shot in a cone so 120 at VERY close range.

I like the bow. Personal choice. I use it the most and arrows are cheap. Once you get it upgraded then have premium arrows....it's deadly if you are a good shot. Even at distance

Indeed the bow. With premium arrows you can shoot from a great distance. Shotgun is good for combat with hunters, sometimes I kill them with 1 shot when they are near me.

All weapons when fully upgraded have there own unique benefits.. its best you try them all out for your self even the bow & arrow is handy to have with you at all times...

I use the bow more than any other weapon but the premium arrows cost more than shot gun shell s to feed the chickens lol.

FYI, you cannot upgrade the bow. The thread asked about weapons you can upgrade.
Most of us have to use the bow mainly because, ammo for firearms is scarce and stupidly
expensive for a game that's supposed to be a shooter...

I dont consider it an exploit(although i understand why people think it is). If it were, every post about it would have been removed from the forum but they havent been and the exploit probably would have been fixed by now. I posted an exploit about a way to get mass quantites of biofuel a while back and that post was removed in less than 10 minutes and that exploit was fixed in the last update.

It has been around and reported regularly since bows were added to the game and CG has never 'fixed' it, if it's an 'exploit' then it is not one he really cares about.
