is there a trick to finding fiber

i just dont seem able to find hardly any fiber is there like a places it grows more than others or is it just realy hard to find

It spawns everywhere, i dunno how people cant find any. I find it everywhere xD

Look for small bushes, small bushes, a littlebit grey and sometimes with blue dots(berry bushes)

most people have trouble finding it when they first start. it is a bit hard to see untill you know what your looking for, then after playing for a bit you see it everywhere. its there you just got to look

Next time you find one, and it's safe, don't pick it ... back off a bit until you see the Level of Detail (LOD) change ... get to know that too so you can spot them at a distance ;)

u pist off the fiber fairys thats all.
you must now appease them by jumping over 10 bears. headfirst. get a good run at a bear and jump right when they growl and claw at you, its easy.
get back to us when your done and well tell you where to find the fountain of never-ending fiber.

no i figured out my problem i had my lod turned all the way down tuned it up and i can see it just fine now its everywere

Fiber is really easy to spot far away, it´s almost like a graffic bug or glitch, it shines out to its surroundings. The closer you get to it, the harder it is to see.

It’s a learned perceptual skill, try picking anything and eventually you’ll learn how to spot it, then you’ll see it everywhere.

Use the following command by pressing = and the enter fogdensity - 0 then press enter this will remove the fog and make it easy to find most items.

The first problem for most players is they're looking in the wrong place...yes, the wrong place. Plenty of people post pictures of what it looks like, up close. But usually you see it from farther away first when LOD is in effect.

First think is to keep your eyes on the "horizon" as you're running around. You will see bushes in the distance, usually large ones and occassionally smaller/medium ones. Keep moving towards the smaller/medium ones and you may notice as you get close their form changes at certain distances. Once you get closer you'll see the same things people are showing pictures of.

Most likely people are looking around right around them and not even paying attention farther out where they're easier to see.

Also there are 2 types of bushes as some have said, fiber and blueberries. Fiber tends to look like a washed out pale green color, while blueberry bushes have a darker more lush green hue to them. As you close on them the difference is more easily noted.

One way to get better is that once you find a fiber plant, don't harvest it. Keep watching it as you back away and notice the graphic LOD changes. once you know what you're looking for, it's everywhere.
