In computer graphics, antialiasing is a software technique for diminishing jaggies - stairstep-like lines that should be smooth. Jaggies occur because the output device, the monitor or printer, doesn't have a high enough resolution to represent a smooth line.

Actually that just depends on you personally. SOme people notice the jaggies more than other people do. Some people are bothered by it more than others. Somepeople turn off AA on older machines to enhance performance of the game.

Depending on what grade of PC / Laptop / Notebook will highly depend on what settings you will want for your A.A.

Its all down to personal preference & if you have a high grade PC and Graphics Card You can max it out with out any issues the higher the setting the better,

Or if you have a mid range or low grade machine you would be better of at a lower setting or even as mentioned above you may well be better off tuning it off for a small performance gain.

Glad This Helps Merlin!

Even with my rig - i7, Win 10, 16 gigs RAM, Geforce 1060 with 6 gigs on the card, there are moments where this game runs a bit too choppy on high settings graphically. I amount to pull some of the settings back just to see if I can get the game to smooth out a little more. Will update soon. Hoping that in time it will become optimized for smoother frames as well.

Baffled by science! I've 8gb ram and nivdea 750, pc is not 2 years old yet so I guess AA is a trial and error idea?

Do you run off a SSD / Hybrid SSHD / or Normal Mechanical Drive ?

i7 / Win 7 x64 32GB Ram... Runs Sweet When The Game Works... :)

All games are HDD due to size which is why I think it hiccups during a save. It shouldn't however. I have plenty of RAM for great graphics in this game. RUST ran smooth and the map was about 4 times larger with ocean and animals and players all over it.

UPDATE
I turned down some of the settings and it did run a bit smoother. Optimization will hopefully smooth it out a lot in time.
