Fiber Plants Are Too RARE!

They are not rare, just hard to spot at certain times of day, or from certain angles.

As Fuzzies said, learned perceptual skill. They are stupidly common once you learn to see them. Eventually you'll be tripping over them.

As a new player with about 50 hours in I have an over abundance and starting making fuel bricks more often. They are real easy for me to see now

I found that on a co-op game i just started fiber plants seem less abundant in the new expanded area of the map while medicinal plants greatly outnumber them 3-4 to 1 and there are usually an insane amount of bear, wolves and deer in the north west to south west part of the map.

I'm building on the NW shore of the lake, in a solo MP. I see a butt load of deer, bears, and wolves.

I've never had an issue finding fiber. How long have you been playing? Maybe you just need to adjust to it, still.

Not saying I have an issue finding fiber... just noticed in those areas it is not as common specially compared to the medicinal plants I find. It has only been in 3 sessions of 3-4 game days per sessions though so that may not be big enough sample to judge... but I find, compared to other areas of the map since the update, it is a bit less common.

I am having the opposite in the new area on my solo game medicinal plants are rare as hens teeth. Fibers, now that I have got used to spotting them in the new foliage, are everywhere.

I built near where the fence was. So now I am on the border of the new area. Plenty of med plants and fibers however scrap metal is fairly non existent unless I trek up to cougar country and take my life in my own hands.

I definitely honed the ability to pick out slight LOD imperfections to spot fiber from a distance. However, I have noticed in SP that depending upon where I build (or perhaps it's just a new game), I am not seeing more spawn of fiber. I used to build on the eastern side of the big lake and would hope across the lake to the peninsula for fiber and a quick grub. Now I'm at a small pond in the north eastern side of the map and find fiber everywhere. Maybe I changed my graphics settings too that may have made them easier to spot. Maybe try building in a new area or start a new game. Good luck and have fun!

Verify integrity of the game files maybe? I get tons of fiber when I'm out an about.

try turning your LOD distance up un options i turned everything down for video games cuz i normaly host for most game we play just habit but i couldnt find anything anywhere till i turned it up and bam its everywhere
