Built with UDK stopped working

I have had severe crashing issues the last 4 days... Now i cannot even load a saved game without getting the box popping up saying "built with udk stopped working"
I get a bleep of sound like it is going to load then crashes.

Anyone have an ideas?

Have you tried... :

Going to STEAM LIBRARY
Find your game in the list on the left side
Right click... select 'properties'...
Select 'local files' tab at the top.
Select 'verify integrity of game cache'

See if that helps.

yeah tried that.. just restored to an earlier point.. then did that again.. now i am in.

That is weird. Cold will probably have you post a file, but I'm not sure which. He did that the other day.

Did the game work before one of the patches? If so, do you know which patch it quit on?

If it was fine before a patch, there is a chance you got a bad patch and need to uninstall and reinstall it.

I'm not sure what udk is so I'll start with a few of my other fall backs.

Is your video card driver current?

I'd suggest to further help Cold with info, that you post your system information, operating system and video card so that he has more of an idea what he is working with. There more information you can provide the more he has to work with.

If you want to research there is a thread that is that posted in the last few days that can tell you what file might help Cold if you want to try and find it. Heck one of the guys might remember it.

Odds are unless the holiday interferes Cold will probably find the thread at some point. He's been on the forum some this week.

UDK= Unreal Development Kit. it's the older version of Unreal Engine, I belive it's UE3 not UE4. which is the version i am using to create a personal 1000k x1000k Street Racing car game for my self to just see what i am still good at since i left collage 3 Months ago after Graduation with Honors. I know my way around almost every free Game engine. if you guys have any questions about Unreal Engine or Cry Engine or Unity. just ask away. not to get too off topic. but i am here just as much as everyone else wants to be.

i have owned the game for about a week. GREAT GAME!
a couple of days ago i got the UDK error. it only happens when i try to load a saved profile.
if i start a new profile, it works every time. i really enjoy this game and would appreciate any help to be able to save profiles.

WIN10 64x
AMD FX8350
AMD R9 290x

i have tried
uninstall/re install
all drivers are up to date
verified through steam
adjusted graphics settings

One thing I also did was roll back my video driver to the Sept 2016 version... now i rarely get the UDK stopped working issue(like once in the last 3 weeks). My cpu also operates cooler running Subsistence aswell. I believe my whole issue was with the 12-16-16 update of the gtx960 video driver i installed. Was a total graphics issue for me... all i know is that it helped.

Have you tried starting a new game and seeing if it still crashes? Your save might be corrupted.

i have tried many saved profiles. every time i play i have to start a new profile. then when i come back to play again, it does not work. i emailed my launch log. thanks for the quick responses

NO, this is not ColdGames ... but I have sent them info in ref to the UDK problem to this address and if there is still a problem he would like to know.
But I thought it had been fixed several patches ago AND I just copied the link from the forums if people would look.

The game boots up to main menu everytime. Only fails when i try to load a saved profile. I can start and play a new profile anytime. It saves the whole time i am playing. It is when i log out, then come back to play again, UDK stopped working while loading the saved profile. I have tried many different saved profiles. This happened to a friend of mine twice, but he just restarted game and the error went away. Not such an easy fix for me.

Id also send a copy of the .sav file that crashes...maybe something is being written wrong to the file? Id imagine the log file loading a save would only say it crashed while loading the save, wouldn't give the text of the line it crashed on...I might be wrong though.
