wolf jump attack impossible to dodge?

even if I run into my doorway and am at least 1-2 foundation lengths inside away from the door the wolf's jump attack always hits me. is this intentional?

Sounds like your system lagged up. I've been able to out run wolves that are bent on killing me ( going around rocks and trees to get them caught up helps as well as jumping while running). Or it sounds like you need a ramp to run up on. One block of base is enough for wolf to stop and turn tail. But if you have just a single foundation and a doorway I'm guesing you opened door....wolf attacks as you turn to shut door and get hit. It would be in your best intrest to have three foundations / larger base this way you get onto your base but keep moving deeper in the wolf does a final lunge and or turns the moment you are further on your base.

Bears however will strike the first base piece near them if you try and lose agro. If you turn on the bear and keep holding agro they tend to come into your base and attack you.

that's not the case at all. I was neither lagging nor did I turn to close door. I don't even have a door as the wolves can't come through the doorway anyway. I run straight through the door and into the base. Yes, I can outrun the wolves but sometimes they do not run away from foundations. I specifically said that I run 1-2 foundation lengths inside the doorway so your assumption that the base is small is also incorrect.

they do run away the majority of the time but on occasion they will not.
