is there any way to go back to a previous auto saved game

while I was heading back to my base ( no BCU ) which was in view I ran out of power and was about to defend myself from a level 3 wolf with my shot gun, the lights in my house flickered and my PC rebooted, I started the game up only to find that I had died and was so where else on the map, it didn't take me any time to get back to my base but none of my stuff was there, I had lost the lot and it was a really good loot run as well, now I'm just left with a axe and a glow stick,
to date I have never found my stuff when I die and I mean ever ! and I'm getting a bit tired of having to start over again and again because none of my stuff ever respawns,
so I was wondering if there is any way I could start from a previous auto save, so I would be in the same condition just earlier on,

I love this game but this no respawn stuff is killing me.....apart from the wolfes and bears that is...

i know what you mean i never even try to look for my crate when i die and i have died many many times i keep asking for a marker of some kind to help you find it again, so i know what you mean mate

thanks monkey, but I do know the map quite well, so finding the location of my stuff isn't the problem it's that my stuff is never there and this time I died right outside my base,

When you pc rebooted and you restarted the game you went back to a old save. It's not like you were still on a server and the wolf killed you when your pc restarted. Your playing single player and everything is saved on your own pc. You game save would be prior to your pc rebooting.

I kinda get what your saying, but I knew I was probably going to die anyway but it's not the getting killed side of things that's the problem it's the not finding my stuff there when I went back for it, that's why I wanted to see if I could go back a bit to the last auto save and start from there.

That's not what he was asking and it's also incorrect. It went to the last autosave as it always does. However, if you go into the Subsistence game folder you will ring a list of save files, find the one named savegame file with the the most recent date/time. Then simply find the save that precedes that one. And that's how you roll back your save. Sorry don't remember the exact folder those savegames are in but you'll find them fast enough

Oh I forgot to mention you need to remove all of the savegame file except the one you wish to use.

go to library right click subsistence/local files/browse local files/binaries/win32 then you will see your save files then just do what @kraft51 says

thanks for all your help with this guys, but having thought about it, asking to go back to a previous save seems to me a bit of a cheat on my part so I'm not going to do it, but the fact that I never find my stuff is a bit of an issue so I'm going to uninstall the and reinstall it and see if that sorts the problem out and maybe I'll start to find all my lovely loot again when I die..

I notice sometimes whenever your near something like a rock or your base you loot ends up on top of rock or roof of base. i know once for sure i died 50ft from my base and i got right back there and no loot box. I read a few other people saying there loot box was missing also. hopefully it's on the list to be fix.
