I agree 1000%+
However, given that CG is a 'one man band' I would cut him some slack for not managing a definative formal AAA game website with WIKI and lists of additions & bugs.
It would be nice to have though ... seeing a list of bugs/requests CG has formally recognized and plans to implement (timeline?) ... perhaps Trello woul be a good free start? https://trello.com/ This also could be religated to some of his die hard fans he is in contact with (we know you are out there).
First log into game I can take them off free range and they will return/appear in the coop, but if I set them free range again they leave of course... then try to recall them again, they don't come back... restarting the game fixes it, kind of annoying but not really a big deal
Another base I had similar issues, but I noticed they were getting stuck on parts of the base that I thought they would have been able to go under... looked like they had a hard time finding a path back to the coop even though there was plenty of gaps to go through
