The rifle provides a modest zoom. I generally pull them with an opening rifle shot.
Check Mate. Game, set and match.

if the weapon physics were worth a ♥♥♥♥♥ I would have killed that thing with that first shot, on review of vid, first shot was A-I-M-E-D dead on the heart/lungs/chest, but a miss, then a hit, a miss, a right rear leg shot an final shot, chest I think, or head, 3 hits w rifle-same as bear, to kill it.
It's not a hunting simulator. If that's what you want play the Hunter, that's an actual hunting simulator. Do you actually hunt in RL? So you "go straight up man on animal" when you're hunting in RL? Really?
Building anywhere is not an exploit....The actual exploit in the video is the Cougar's pathing and attack code.
Are you actually that ignorant?
I mean, you're complaining about how hard the game is because "everything" requires Sinew, which is "so hard to get".
That video purposely shows that the Cougars in their current state are NOT hard to kill, CAN be exploited, and are in general broken.
I'm not saying this is how you should hunt.
I am saying you are a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ for making exaggerated claims based solely on your own poor personal performace in the game.
Ooooh, you landed a shot on the Cougar's heart, yeah so, there are no localized damage modifiers on animals....No critical shots.
But hey, you missed a few shots so like omfg the Cougars must just be way to hard to hunt.
I mean, it's not like the Cougars aren't a relatively new feature that is never going to be reiterated upon.....
OH WAIT.....that's exactly what they are....a relatively new feature that CG is going to balance/change at some point....
But hey, hur dur, you're a manly man, which means Cougars are way to hard even though you just suck.
Cougars, bears, and wolves are NOT hard. Their pathing is SIMPLE, they cant path around doors, and running and jumping when you hear them attack from behind puts you far enough forward to avoid their attacks.
Sinew is NOT hard to get. You don't need to exploit a Cougar's code to kill it, but you CAN. Until that is removed from the game, ALL of the animals are easy.
FFS....let me guess, your next thread is going to be about how you can't find enough Zinc and Copper and demand that CG fixes it....even though you would find plenty of it if you spent solid time in game actually looking, and less time here on the forums being a ninny.
yes, as a matter of fact I have hunted, and the cougar/sinew MAKES this a hunting game NOWWW!. I was hunting the cougar, and I been hunting it everyday-for dam sinew.
by " go straight up man on animal" I meant like I did the cougar, crouch, or prone..aim for heart/lung/ -boom. not use dam foundations an walls, JC, how come ya aint giv that guy any sht, thats lame as F.
It is NOT a hunting simulator, no matter what you might think. Drops are rewards and are balanced against the risks and effort required to obtain them, not against a reality measuring stick. This really isn't that hard to comprehend, when the risk/reward ratio for each little thing gets too large the game becomes far too easy and is over far too fast. Give it some thought for a change.
