Wood Chopping Sim - Please Rebalance
So Im trying to get people into this game and really want to see the game progress - however as I stream the game...it seems all im doing is chopping wood to keep furnace going, farming wood to repair, farming wood to build which isnt that bad BUT the fact it takes 3 swings to get 1 wood and you only get 3 wood per tree literally makes me sleep at the keyboard and viewers just cant stand to watch.

Im trying my best to get people interested and its hard as hell when its just chop simulator...

Maybe change it to 6 wood per tree and get 1 wood every other swing instead of every 3rd...

yup its a lotta chopping wood, do it as you go collecting crates here an there..
and put some in a storage crate at base each day when u come back, save up to build, dont ignor collecting an build all day. nails an cordage too, I keep a 'build box', a storage crate, and load it end of each day with extra wood, nails an fibers/cordage.
then take a day off an build what ya been thinking about, sometimes I just put up a couple walls a day, then go collect crates, next day..a lil more..but yeah, always chopping wood man, get used to it-

You can use fiber for your fire... no need to chop wood all the time...

One thing I always do is build my base around one of the old 6-log trees, so you can chop it while indoors when you get home at sunset, then again first thing in the morning to get an easy 12 logs per day, which helps over time.

Yep, good plan....I can hit up 5 trees from within my base at dawn and dusk....so approx 40 wood per day....

It does get boring, sometimes. We've come a long way, from the days of writing a script to do it for us.

This. Fibers are easy to collect when running around and you can use a fuel brick to keep the woodburner going all day.

I only use logs for construction, really.

The current development of the game is still work in progress also new features and rebalance will happen in the near furture,

YOU cant expect the [DEV] Cold Games to rebalance parts of the game just for one person it doesnt work like that sorry too say this but its true...

If you’re chopping wood for fuel after the first 2-3 ingame days then you’re wasting your time. You should be using fiber to make fuel bricks. That alone reduces your dependency on chopping. Also I’d recommend not going out just to chop but stopping to chop as a side activity while out doing other things. There is absolutely NO need to ‘grind’ at any one activity. Also pacemyour building, I alswaysnstart with a single foundation shock and expand as I need. Before we could move base parts this was somewhat of an issue, now it isn’t as you can simply move a wall, add a foundation and expand from a small shack without wasting mats.

Just a hint: You can start harvest a tree 360 seconds after the last time you harvested it. So you should actually be able to get even more wood if you time it right.
