Where is my stuff when i die?

I die , often in this game,sometimes tag teamed by two bears and a couple of wolves. Ok, I can die with that. But where is my stuff when I respawn? I am praying I have missed something cause it is harrrrd to find sticks and to lose them when i die is depressing to say the least

When you die in Easy or Normal mode, you respawn in a different location on the map. You have 5 minutes to locate your loot crate and get your stuff back.

When you die in Easy or Normal mode, you respawn in a different location on the map. You have 5 minutes to locate your loot crate and get your stuff back.

respawn on bed. ran 5 feet to my body. no crate
rip all my guns and ammo + loot from killing 4 bears

That sucks! In rare situations, a loot crate will glitch inside the base of a tree, or a rock outcrop. This makes them impossible to get access to. CG knows about this bug, however.

kind wish it didnt auto save upon death

In easy mode, when you die you have the choice to restart or go back to your last save, and everything you had when you died is still in your toolbelt or backpack if you choose last save. Is it the same in Normal, or do you just die and have to find your crate?

i can conferm from my lost crates, you have to find them. good to know its diferent in easy mode. i may have to switch to that

I'm pretty suite in easy mode you also have 10 mins to get your death crate instead of 5

In normal you can't reload your old save well Iv not noticed the option there since I swapped from easy to normal

compass / coordinates would be awesom and/or maybe a arrow where your bag is when you die would also be great
