Moving solar panels
How far can we move solar panels? I want to add two more floors to a building and then put my existing solar panels (25) on the new roof.

When you place solar panels, the blue "Zone of Influence" for your BCU will show up. Place any solar panels within that zone.

I'm talking about the new feature in the latest update, i.e., the ability to move existing things. I've already placed the solar panels, but I want to build 2 new floors and put them on top of that.

You might have to move them in stages. I moved mine about three or four building cubes but I don't know what the limit is. Move them close, then move them again if you have to. There doesn't seem to be a limit on how many times you can move them. But they do have to be within the blue sphere of a BCU.

I understand, however no matter how or where you move them, they still have to be within the BCU's zone. One floor up, or three floors up, it does not matter.

Note that the BCU can be moved also, but just make sure that everything is within range when you re-place it. Alternatively you could craft and place another BCU to extend the range.

I haven't tried moving the BCU, I thought CG said it was the one thing that couldn't be moved...or I misread that.

I am wrong, you cannot move the BCU. I saw the move button when I moused over it so thought that you could, but when I tried I got a message that the BCU cannot be moved.
