No Hunters Spawning

After the latest patch i started a new game, i am at around day 8 and have not seen any hunters anywhere. I have a decent sized base with burner and refinery. Is there a certain item i have to build before hunters will spawn?

A base command unit or a storage chest triggers the hunters to come, make sure the hunters are turned on before you enter the game, make sure to tick that box.
If already ticked try unticking go ingame (wait for a save) exit saved game and then turn them on again (you will have to wait 2-3 days then).

Yeh i have a BCU and alot of chests. I will try that.

I see you are not new to the game so it could be a bug if you know the game well now, how many BCU's are you using? if multiple are in use around the map the hunters will be around the BCU placed first.

Yeh i know the game pretty well :D I just have the one BCU atm and i have been around the whole map and have not seen any hunters. Im trying your suggestion now and waiting for a couple days to see if they spawn.

I have never turned them off before so I dont know, I was just going by how long they normally take, when the hunters spawn in the first time.

Storage chests? As far as I know, only crafting and placing a BCU will activate the hunters.

ColdGames mentioned it before once or twice in the past, if it has changed now I dont know but I doubt it, but it was definitely the case 1-2 months ago.

I usually place a storage chest long before a BCU and never had hunters spawn because of it.

Storage chests? As far as I know, only crafting and placing a BCU will activate the hunters.

Saying that though, I could be getting the Storage mixed up with the hunters spawning in,
I know for a fact that placing a BCU and a storage chest stops you spawning with a pistol when you die, so I could be getting things mixed up a bit there, but it might also still be the case with the hunters spawning too as well, I have not played properly for months now so..
Maybe ColdGames will pop in to clear things up about that.

Either way the OP has fixed his/her issue with the hunters.

Read the comment above yours, I am most likely getting the the BCU mixed up with the Storage chest becuase placing a storage chest or BCU stops you spawning with a pistol, I was probably getting the pistol mixed up with the BCU..

I started another fresh game and again hunters are not spawning. Is anyone else getting the same thing or just me? Does it matter that my BCU pretty high because im building on top of a rock, i wouldn't think so.
