Give it some time, eventually you'll be feeding stacks of weapon parts into the recycler and still have hundreds.
I hadn't considered their rarity when hunters are disabled. I'll put some thought into ways to address this.
Cheers
Even before hunters I had enough weapons parts from locked crates. Until I made it part of my routine to always have a lockpick on me I was obviously short on them but I just consider now having lockpicks in my inventory as part of the balanced gameplay as having med kits, bandages, and splints in my inventory...or ammo for that matter. Just don't go out unprepared, and if you want weapons parts pre-hunter then being prepared includes spending the time to make and carry lockpicks and replace them after you use them.
Yeah, before hunters it took me a while to get my weapons upgraded, but that's part of the slow progression which keeps the game going longer.
have you come up with any ideas to this ? it is very hard to find weapon parts and the locked chest,
i activated the hunters but found 5 weaponparts
but weren't succesful in finding weapon parts in locked crates.
i have seen that there are 2 kinds of locked crates according yo the preview
on some official screenshots of this game
I always play solo no hunters, I have opened 27 crates and found only 2 that had weapon parts, total being less than 15 weapons parts.
The idea here is not to upgrade your shotgun. Instead, use basic bow with premium arrows to hunt big game.
Basic bow does 75 damage per premium arrow. First arrow hit should be done vs non-moving target, easy to do. Second hit should be done when the target is running directly towards you, also easy to do. Third hit should be done when the target is about to hit you, can't miss it. Result: 225 damage without any need to kite or use any other tricks, target dropped then and there.
Of course, you can also use non-upgraded shotgun for the last shot whenever beneficial. Without upgrades, up to 120 damage per shell is doable, but all pellets (there are 20 pellets, 6 damage each) must hit for full damage. Still, for most targets, you can do with something like 1 premium arrow shot and then 1 shotgun blast, which would be 195 damage - enough to drop many big-game targets.
Good luck!
