if not, maybe clearing your preferences should fix this.
by running a .cmd file you create with content:
If you are playing the game for the first time, maybe it is due to your version of windows (several updates glitch controller, so you have to be very up-to-date.), can you tell us precisely what version you are running ?
Yes i play for the first time and my version of windows is 8.1 pro 64bit with all updates available till now.
Just to be sure, are you playing plugged or wirelessly ?
When first started up everything worked apart from triggers, so couldn't hide or sneak. Verified game files and re installed game but now triggers work but camera pan on right stick and d-pad doesn't.
Controller gets used everyday no problems on any other game, can anyone use the x360 controller with no issues!
this game, for whatever reasons, seems not to like several controllers / input devices connected to the PC / steam link.
in my case, i had one xbox 360 controller connected to my steam link and another one to my PC. after realizing the buttons at the PC controller worked just fine i simply unplugged that one.
et voila... the buttons on the controller connected to the steam link suddenly worked. (i restarted the game, but i dont know if its necessary)
i'm also not sure wether it's necessary to create a controller profile for the game in steam - i did so but that alone did not help. i kept it after unplugging the one controller though and got no problems.
hopefully have fun playing now! :)
by the way: i also had freezes after dying and trying to save the game. this was caused by my anti virus software preventing the game to write in a protected folder. so if u got this problem too, make sure to create some exception rules for the game.
