Sila's chests

When Sila invites us to sleep in his cot there are two chests, one on the first floor and one at the second floor. Apparently both need a key. The key is in his room but I lose it when I open the chest on the second floor. What is in the first chest ? What if I open the other chest first, will I be able to open both ?

Used my safe file and checked in diferent orders. No bug in my playthrough, as far as I can tell. How to you lose the said key? Does it just dissaper from your inventory? Do you have a save file to replay the said moment? As for Silas footlocker ( small chest, key in his room), there are two lutkas in them. As for the big chest downstairs (Silas gives you the key later in the game) there are some neat outfits, espacialy a peasant coat, that takes up NO inventory slot, so you can wear it with any ountfit, but I have no idea if it is a bug or a feature.
