I was thinking to exit the tower via a window as well in the first moment, but noticed it felt too artificial to do so. So I never tried that out.
Do you have an old savestate, or tried to exit game and reload, maybe the game then notices you progressed so far that the gate trigger will be repaired by fixing the trigger. If not, seems you locked yourself out. Because entering the tower elsewhere is without glitching not possible, I tried that also :)
I have another idea to fix this, but this would mean to alter the savefile manually. Luckily it is not encoded, so it is possible to do so. Savefiles are located usually here:
C:\Users\%username%\Documents\My Games\Ghost of a Tale
I can try to help you if you upload your savefile(s) to a cloud and link it here.
Thanks for the answer and the suggestion to help. But I need some other achievements as well that I cannot get in this playthrough so I have to replay it any way.
But for the next playthrough I know to avoid windows.
Or you can just load up my one of my save to see if the missing achievements pop directly.
I made multiple progression saves. Feel free to use them. Make sure to backup your own before messing around with your local savefile folder.

Best way to replace savefile is to open game, load any save, tab out of the game and replace your local files with mine, then close the game, let Steam sync to cloud, then reopen the game and my files should be properly loaded and displayed.
But if you intend to replay the game anyway, thats fine :)
thanks for the save games. After I finished the game the only achievement that was left was the "finish all side quest" achievement. Well and with my save file that was impossible to get. So I took yours, loaded the last one and finished the final fight again. Final achievement was unlocked. So thanks again!
The sequel is currently in developement, yfyi
