The nostalgia of horror
I decided to dive right back into this title after the old build gave me major game breaking bugs and crashes due to screen resolution errors. And honestly this was not what I was expecting.

I played this back when it was an early release indie title, or something of that genre and it was a grind. But after finally getting those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ damn beetles, finding Faustus in the sewers (which nearly drove me to insanity looking for the key) and finding the ghost of the grave and grinding more quests to get to helping Silas come down from his hooch high and realizing his back story....

This is a very DEEP game, a very well told and paced one. I say this as someone who mostly 95% of the time is only into FPS games or shooters. I feel sad writing that sentence down because we may never see a title this unique, told in a pace of its own lore and world building, the artwork of when characters talk and how that art changes depending on the replies or the songs you choose to sing. This game is beautiful, and I realize its coming to an end and I actually dont want it to end to some degree. Hence why I titled this the nostalgia of horror, because I have grown so found of the world building, the characters, the lore and the story that your smack dab perfectly in the middle, exploring it at a slow yet personal pace.

I know a lot of other people have played and beaten this ages ago, but I'm some-what new on the hype train of this almost Redwall-ish world but more told so in a magical horror theme. and I do mean horror because as I play this, I realize, there is a lot of things not explored and I feel that is what makes a game truly special. The idea of wanting more or what comes next in this species divided world, and never having it come once the story is told.

I thought only Fallout New Vegas could making something so spiritually haunting and stoic of a self designed title. I was wrong. Ghost of a tale team, I bow to you for this feat of artwork and soul you took me on. I hope maybe some day or in another life, there is a sequel of some manner.
