Your gambling minigame is fundamentally flawed
If you bet seven and get a seven, you lose.
if you bet low and get high, you sometimes win.
If you bet high and get high, you can still lose.
There is no way to actually play the game reasonably because the rules don't obey their own ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ logic.

Yeah, I placed a bet of 5 coins and when I won I received only 4 coins although I was supposed to receive 10 coins.

the mini-game is broken lol, i betted 5 coins on it being a 7, and the dice rolled a total of 5, and then the guy says "you win!" and i was like "wtf?", and then i 'won' 4 coins, wtf? so i... lost 1 coin, lol wtf?

I really wish these sort of games would just skip the minigames altogether. Just focus on a decent and well-rounded game all its own and players will be happy. I know they're meant to be a diversion for the most part but they end up being frustrating because they are flawed and unnecessary.
Perhaps it's a case of verisimilitude? You're expecting an honest game like Blackjack, but really the guy is just a cheat. The house always wins. Better to ignore him and spend your money on the blacksmith or kitchen.
I think its more of a chance kind of thing. Meaning you predict the answer or guess. It worked for me perfectly when I feel there is a chosen answer that is hidden. Is it perfect? No, but the lore of this game makes it important. Didnt really have any issues playing the mini games. Unfair at first until you realize how to kick ass.
