The Disguise...
I gotta say, not being able to move fast is getting really old. Wish there was another armor I could use. I was using the Ranger set, but I kept getting things taken from me or thrown in jail.

The armor is upgradable twice. The second time will have you move at your normal jogging speed and sprint with a faster use of stamina. Heck just getting the first armor upgrade speeds you up a decent amount.

And don't forget, you can quickly unequip/equip complete set in the menu.
So switch between costumes to save time~
Also the Thief costume let you be quick and not getting spotted as quickly as your vanilla set.

Well you probabbly arn't supose to be using it much since you don't have to stealth past gaurds with it, hence the slow down.
I think you just need to practice not getting spotted? I'm not trying to be condescending, you can kinda get a feel for when you can go past quickly without getting caught and I find it's better to move fairly quick in sneak, while stopping for sec when the alertness starts getting too high, rather than going slow.

Such as Fates said, when trying to traverse the area it's easier to just dart past everyone in their blind sides (backs turn to you) then stop while crouched behind them to reduce the alertness. In areas high of guards like right outside the commander's room or the commissary, it's better to just use the armor.

My costume combo is:
Minstrel Hood
Minstrel Rope Belt
Pirate's Baldric
Thief's Mask
Ranger's Boots

That lets me dart past everyone and remain quiet. Remember you're a mouse, act like one; speed and silence is your best friends.

Just a tip, most of the time guards will use their left when turning around.

I have no problem not getting spotted. Im a freaking stealth aficionado. I played the last 2 Deus Ex games, Styx, and Splinter Cell without ever being spotted. Im just at that point where I got to go around and ask all the guards that stupid key phrase to find out who the masters army is. You have to wear the suit for that.
