"The Scholar" achievement bugged?
I completed all the quests and side quests, essentially trying a completionist run and yet this achievement didn't unlock. Read all the books too...so i was wondering if i did something wrong.

Is there a way to see how many "footnotes" i've unlocked?

Also, i had to load a previous save after finding out i had to finish all quests b4 talking with the Magpie...so i kinda ran thru the dialog (since i already knew what it was). Do the footnote NOT unlock if i don't click on them? (i always assumed they were automatically unlocked and i could read them later)

Ps: i also noticed in the "statistics" that i only discovered 14/18 NPC's...but i'm sure i've explored everything in the game. Is this also bugged, or have i missed a huge secret area?

I can't recall if you have to specifically click the footnotes or not, but I did and ended up with the achievement ( I don't think it unlocked until right at the end of the game through).

For the NPCs, did you get all of their names? There's an achievement for that (wondering if you got that one), as it's possible to miss some NPC names if you don't ask them/choose the correct dialog (the first guard as you enter the kitchen springs to mind).

I also saw a stream of someone who was most of the way through the game, and still had Rolo listed as the Blacksmith!
Perhaps that's the case, since i didn't click them all (like i said when i loaded a previous save, i simply skipped the dialog since i read them already)...shame :P

Yeah i got the Achievement for knowing everyone's name...which is why i wondered if perhaps i missed some secret area. I'm pretty sure i talked with everyone (including patrolling guards etc)

Thanks a lot for the reply/answer!
I honestly think this is a wrong choice, bc as i stated in my case i had to reload the game so i didn't click them AGAIN since i already did it the first time.

I also thought it was strange that they aren't save for later...basically all rpg games let to read the lore entries later and such...
