Although Ghost of a Tale is fully playable with mouse and keyboard, we'd strongly recommend playing with a gamepad for the best experience.

Does this mean the game is set up that makes the controls seem like they were designed by someone with autism when you're using the keyboard and mouse?(such as you have to jump a highter around a selection menu and then hit enter on your keyboard instead of just clicking on it with a mouse) or are they actually common sense keyboard and mouse controls?

Aside from using both mouse buttons to hide in storage containers, the keyboard and mouse controls usually only needs one button press to do something. Left mouse uses things, right mouse lets you sneak, space jumps, F uses items, etc.

As with all three of the Dark Souls ('gamepad recommended') games, I finished Ghost of a tale with keyboard & mouse only. You can rebind to most, if not all keys of your choice. I think there were a couple of exceptions.

The only 'tricky' move was to hide in a chest/cupboard. You press 'sneak' and 'action' at the same time. So two keys at once, but you get used to it. Aside from that, it's just movement in-game and one key for each action. It's not difficult at all.

The menus have a mouse cursor for selection (click).

This entire post could have been summed up with the question, "Are keyboard and mouse controls good/rebindable?"

Tossing in extra 'edge' doesnt make your question more valid. (quite the opposite really)

You're entitled to your opinion, I did ask a question, which you didnt even answer, you just injected your opinion without even answering the question, so allow me to express my opinion back.

Your response is garbage to me. Injecting your opinion while not answering the question doesnt make it more valued, quite the opposite really.

I will however continue to respect your right to have an opinion that I dont value.
Also megaman is awesome.

What are you talking about? Having to press two keys / buttons to hide when using keyboard & mouse vs. having to press two gamepad buttons? What an inconvenience! Your problem is with K+M specifically right (?), the controls of which are mostly rebindable.

I know that some games (usually console ports) can have lousy K+M support, this really isn't one of them. Dark Souls PTD, especially in the menus, is like that. Otherwise, I don't understand your complaint.

I haven't read any of the above responses, but I'd like to add this:
I play this game, and it runs beautifully "maxed out" on my 4-year old Dell XPS PC, Win 7, with simple keyboard (WASD) and regular mouse. Plays great. Very intuitive, controls are easy. A great gaming experience so far.
